Frist off, i love this song and is by far one of my favorites. I have to believe, in my eyes, that this can be linked to personal salvation in christ. (im a christian but i don't oooze "godliness" and im not someone to find everything linking to god -- if that makes sense at all." but, in christianity (sp? i suck) if you accept christ as your savior then you are "saved" and will get to go to heaven. and as a christian you are called to spread the word of god and help people to come to know the lord. also, somewhere in the bible it says that the lord will come again. here are some verses to back all of this up: "We’ll be shielded up above And the screams will not reach us Fear will be undone On the path of chosen ones" "They haven’t heard a word we’ve said They make mistakes They doubt his calling" "When we have left them this place And as we leave our sacrifice One final step outside No longer feel these things around Soon we’ll be happy in the place we are" so really, it's the whole song. i really know nother about guster and have done no research on them, but i do absolutely love their sound, lyrics, and the feel of the band. i dunno if they intended this to be religious (i read about that he's jewish?) but this is what popped out at me. |
