It sounds like he's saying "took the world from me" to me, just pronouncing it differently; like "tuck". However, now I can kind of hear "talk", but it doesn't make sense why he wouldn't say "talked the world from me" since the rest of the song is past tense. Who knows. |

I don't think it's that simple. He didn't just have a girlfriend who cheated on him after stealing his virginity. There was a little more to it. He thought he loved her. He honestly thought he was going to be with her forever. If you felt that strongly about someone, wouldn't you be that 'butt hurt' if they cheated on you? |

I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out but I'm pretty sure he says "A goddes buried deep in the folds" It's not very easy to tell on the record, but listen to him sing it live, it's a lot easier to distinguish. i met the lead singer at warped tour, he was walking around selling this CD and he came up to us. he was reallly nice, and i bought the CD for $5 :) anyways, it kind of sounds like he's saying You're just trading heartbeats, baby You're just changing the verse inbetween your sheets it makes sense, listen closely. |

| I think some are over analyzing this song. Especially with the drug refrence. Most of the songs Max Bemis has personally explained are exactly what the lyrics state. There is usually no deeper message, that's how great they are. | |

becellis5, I agree, for the most part it sounds like it could be for his mom, but some parts don't add up. Such as the filthy magazine part, why would that relate to his mom in any way? I think the song has a simple meaning, as the lyrics show. Someone has changed for the worse, and he is trying to show that person who they used to be. |
