| Seether – Truth Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think this song is pretty applicable to a lot of situations.. I think the whole cheating on the girlfriend theory. "If I gave you the truth, would it keep you alive?"-Asking if she would still be alright if he admitted to it. "Though I'm closer to wrong, I'm no further from right"-Wrong symbolizing what he did, and right symbolizing the urge to tell her. "And now I'm convinced on the inside that something's wrong with me"-Thinking that there's something wrong with him for doing what he did. "Convinced on the inside, you're so much more than me, yeah"-Saying that she's more than him for being true etc. "No there's nothing you say that can salvage the lie"-Anything she said couldn't make up for the fact that he went behind her back. "But I'm trying to keep my intentions disguised"-He's trying to not let off that anything happened. "And now I'm deprived of my conscience and something's got to give"-Saying that he doesn't feel guilty about it, but something will happen that will make him tell her. "Deprived of my conscience"-Same as above. "This all belongs to me, yeah"-It's his burden to carry, not hers. The chorus is kinda sketchy to me cause I'm not too sure who "them" is. But the "beaten down again. I've failed you" might mean he's pretty down about it and feels that he's failed her. "The deception you show is your own parasite"-Could mean that the way she looks at him, as being innocent, is her a bad thing. "Just a word of advice you can heed if you like"-He's trying to tell her to forget about looking at him in a good light. Sounds kinda right to me :) |

| Gallows – In the Belly of a Shark Lyrics | 17 years ago |

okay well after reading all of the comments ive got no fucking clue what to agree with. but i kind of agree with the whole getting back together just to break up with someone. if you watch the vid at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qoehky-36K4, frank actually says its a 'love song'. not too sure what that means in his world but meh. but my take on it is that he's gotten far into a relationship which he describes as being 'in the belly of a shark', and it might be something he doesn't want. "how the fuck did i get this far?" could be him asking himself how he got so far into the relationship. he seems to be defending this relationship by 'eating everyman that this girl sees' and 'he's gonna show her exactly what she means to him' its a pretty abstract song tbh |

| 36 Crazyfists – Aurora Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I've got the feeling that 'Aurora' is referring to a person (and a she because of the "lipstick stained life"). And that its the story of someone who's following their dreams but maybe not the right way hence "Are you following the path that you thought you would or wouldn’t?". The "Are you comfortable with the skin you’re in?" is Brock questioning this person's way of getting to what he/she desires, A song about someone drifting away from him and he's trying to hold on by a thread. My opinion anyway x |
