I think this song is like: "imagine you were a rebel in the star wars universe and had to fight the imperial troops, but you're still just a kid from kona town that wants to have a beer and roll a reefer from time to time" thats the mood of the song I guess. great song, great lyrics, great album btw |

I think this song is about healthcare in general. That healing people is more like repairing machines instead of treating them like the human beings they are. Like in traditional asian medicine where people are focusing on body AND mind and try to keep people healthy instead of fiddling around on some symptoms. In modern healthcare, people are reduced to "surgery areas". No doctor really cares about the person, only about getting rid of these symptoms. When money rules the health care, patients are just expense factors. "recycled air, the smell of sleep and disinfectant" - seems to be a very unpleasent environment, not an environment where people feel comfortable. Should a place where people are intended to get well really look like this? "REPAIR ALL MY DEFECTS" - sounds like a device is requesting a repair, not a human who is sick "Let's redefine What it means to heal" - well, exactly what I think the song is about ... |
