Oh my god. The song is NOT about bong hits or weed. I run a comlumn in my school paper called "The Top Five" (Inspired by the movie High Fidelity, in case you didn't notice) One time I ran an issue where I rated the top five songs with interesting origins. This song is about an event that occured while Deep Purple was making an abulm using the borrowed Rolling Stones Mobile Studio. They were recording right outside a Frank Zappa(Mothers of Invention) concert, in which someone fired a flare gun, causing the curtains to catch fire and the Montreux Casino to burn down. |
