I like how there's references to frames of youth, free love so to speak, getting numb so to keep your sanity. 1979 was probably a cool time because kids didn't know what to expect in the 80's. sounds pretty narrative to me. |

just a rage and three kinds of yes. You're so pumped beforehand to getting it up your nose. the three kinds of yes could be the bitterness behind his reluctance to abstain from using. it's like he's hopelessly in love with the feeling, he can't stop altogether but he knows every time he does it, he regrets it somewhat during and alot after. He has to take a break from all the more bitter less sweet lifestyle he's immersed himself in.
Paul Banks is a great artist. The whole band is great, but Paul Banks evokes some sort of enigmatic Jim Morrison persona. |
