| Emilie Autumn – Thank God I'm Pretty Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"Every ill that I must suffer, merely brought on by myself, tho the cops would come for someone else" is definately commentary on her being abused when she was younger. so this song was probably built up around that experience, and how horrid it is for her to go through the crap from men that a "normal" girl could probably deal with well, or might even like. However, it's meaning to me personally doesn't change by my discovery that she'd been abused, because it can still bend other ways for people like me. |

| I read the other day the Emilie actually was raped, which is what God Help Me is about, so this is probably about that too. | |

I love this song, because I can totally relate, but I look at it differently, than you guys do. a lot of people are intimidated by the way I look. They think I'm scary, just because I wear dark make up and have really big hair, so the way I see it, none of these things are happening to her, because she doesn't fit the typical ideal of beauty, and she's making fun of girls who are really conventionaly pretty. which makes sense if you've ever had people be frightened or uncomfortable because of your appearance, even though other people like you think you're beautiful. I also read somewhere that EA was mocked a lot by her peers because she's been dressing this way since she was in high school, and they weren't used to girls like her. |

To me it sounds like a cult thing.... like, the cult sucks you in a destroys you and then you commit suicide which is the 306 and the 16 the part about the water and how long it takes to drown is how she chose to kill herself and she's still unidentified behind the cathedral because the people in the cult were with her when she did it, and then they brought her body back and dumped it there and perhaps she was really popular in the cult, which is why she says she's overglorified and maybe she had reasons other than the cult to kill herself, but she did it with a group of kids from the cult, which is the part about how at least her reasons were hers |

| I agree with YingStardust. I definately think that it's about having something done to you, whether that's rape like a lot of people think it is or not, just something that snaps you out of the sense that everything is perfect that you have when you're younger, and then wanting that complete ignorance back because it's to hard to know the truth | |
| Emilie Autumn – Liar Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think it's about a girl who is a few smokes short of a full pack, if you know what I mean. I think she's deeply in love with someone who cheated on her, and since she's not quite sane, she's holding them prisoner, because she sees it as the only way to keep them from leaving her. She's causing them physical pain because she doesn't know how to cause them emotional pain, and she thinks if she keeps hurting them, they'll start loving her again. And through all of it, all she really wants to do is fix the person, because she thinks they cheated on her because they were of low self esteem and needed to know someone other than her finds them attractive. | |
