Interesting about the Bret Easton Ellis influence. It did strike me that the line "There's nothing left, I simply am not here" is similar to something Patrick Bateman says/thinks about himself in AP. Anyway, what a great band, and cool song! |

| Grant Lee Buffalo – Mighty Joe Moon Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I love the sound of this song! It's definitely an alltime favorite of mine, although I don't really get the lyrics. I don't know who Mighty Joe is, but maybe he's that free spirited, independent natureboy Grant is longing to be? Maybe it's a song about going back to basics, and ridding all modern nessecities? At least that's the feeling the song conveys to me. For some reason I think of Jack Kerouac and his novel "The Road", when I listen to these lyrics. It has the same romantisized vision of the American wilderness. Fantastic song no matter what. Strangely G.L.B. hasn't been commented that much, which I guess proves how much of an underrated songwriter he is. In Denmark where I live, hardly anybody knows him or his music. |

| Alice in Chains – Brother Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I lost my older brother to drugs 6 months ago, and our relationship in the final years of his life was not great. But he was my brother, and I miss him very much. This song always makes me think of him. | |
