I heard about Muse covering this song so I checked it out and although I feel the smiths do a better job of it I feel muse really nails it very well which suprised me because Morrissey has a EXTREMELY unique voice and up until now I was convinced no one can cover the smiths without making a fool of themselves. I got to say I'm very impressed, muse is a fantastic band. |

Yes, Mike doesn't sing those songs but he does sing the green day song "Governater", and part of "Homecoming" and it is Mike that sings this song if you listen to governator you can easily connect the two. The song meaning is also very straight forward which is also otherwise explained by sapphirexx. |

I absolutley love this song (and Darren of course). The way I interperted is got to do with depression, because I can relate to this song I feel like how its talking about how you just keep trying to get someone to notice you, you have all these amazing self qualities the person you want cant see and you try to use, and it doesn't matter what you do the other person can't see it and love you back as much as you love them. "It is easier to give than receive love". |

To me I know if it weren't for certain songs in my life I wouldn't be here, theres some music that took me through tough times and I knew I wouldn't be here if it weren't for those songs, these songs that giving me such a feeling and meaning of hope, and I love it how rubber ring is really about that I have never come across a song quite like that and its truely amazing and it really got me thinking and I started listening to this music that was my rubber ring and I can really feel it. I can really relate to this song, this song is incredible and unique and I absolutley love it. |

I believe this maybe based on a fan that became more than infatuated with our mate Darren here. This song may not necessarily mean Darren is possibly a creepy stalker but as I persume most of you know even though this song is off his first solo album he had produced a few others when he was in Savage Garden making him already extremely famous, SG was very big back in the 90's. So this song could just be about an overly obsessive fan of his. I think this song is incredible how it looks at another persons point of view. |
