yeah its a pretty simply song but it's very upbeat and generally a good-mood-song. It's quite catchy and seems a bit like a "youth anthem" The song just seems to reassure all the young people that they can change things and that being young is pretty much amazing. |

haha i remember when i first listened to the song i kept repeating that bit 'toocloseforcomfort' mentioned just to hear danny's voicee. yummy. but yeah this is a simple song about what boys go through when a girl tells them its over. it doesnt seem like a big relationship, but the guy seems pretty stunned about their break up. |

i do love this song!! And I think it's about liking someone, but you're not too sure if they like you back or how to tell them. "I'll tell you how drag my shoes on the ground But I'm taking them off (taking them off) And I'm ready to walk, yeah" That bit seems like they've finally decided to grow up and give it a go. OR it could be that they got rejected and have given up on that person. I love the "I can't stop digging the way you make me feel" cause thats exactly how teens feel when they fancy someone cause it certainly isnt love but its more than friends-way. So yeah mcfly did a good job here! |

Well they're using a film to symbolise how the relationshp is going. The verses and the chorus contrast against each other..as if to say 'why can't life be like the movies?' he doesnt seem to understand why the girl cant love him back/anymore. and its a bit like he's saying "well in movies, its all dandy" well more like "why cant life be like the movies?" i suppose... |

I have a feeling that this is about trust. And the feeling you go through when you're pretty much confused about how you feel about a person. And I think they're just looking for an escape together "If we go to a place we know, I can show how good life could go" sort of away from other complications. I'm not sure, what does everyone else think? |
