The reference to a merry-go-round is pretty clear, but it might be a metaphor. "Let it shine within your mind and show you the colors that are real" Might be a drug reference or might not be. For most songs there will always be people who think the lyrics are about drugs whether they are or not. Go figure. After listening to the song several times I think it's referencing the subject matter of Carmina Burana. Similarities: deals with life using the metaphor of a wheel that goes round, discusses ups and downs (no money, no home, talk about troubles VS someone's waiting just for you, drop all troubles). |
