| Rascal Flatts – Summer Nights Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I just heard this for the first time on the radio- I love it! It's the perfect summer anthem. | |
| Rascal Flatts – What Hurts The Most Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Everyone I've talked to about this song thinks it says "not seeing that lovin' you", as in, not seeing the girl (death, break-up, etc.) But I think it says "not seeing that love in you", as in having to see the girl often but since they're not together, he can only look at it as a non-romantic relationship. I don't think it's about a death...just heartache. |

| Belle & Sebastian – Fox in the Snow Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Has anyone read As Simple As Snow by Gregory Galloway? We just read it in English class, and for my project I'm making a mixed CD of songs that go along with the story. I was listening to Belle and Sebastian one day, and realized this goes perfectly. | |
| Brand New – Mix Tape Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I can kind of see where you're coming from. I never thought about it that way, good call. | |
| Death Cab for Cutie – Transatlanticism Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"I need you so much closer" I can't put into words how beautiful that line is. |

| Jack's Mannequin – MFEO: Part 1: Made for Each Other/Part 2: You Can Breathe Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Very nicely put. I like how you put it in terms of "wrapping up" the stories of the other songs. I think the meaning is just a matter of opinion. Sure, Andrew has in his mind what the exact meaning is, but I think he wants it to be open to interpretation. Whatever you want it to mean, that's what it means to you. I guess I can't really explain what I mean, but yeah. You're right about the whole CD being about summer, and that's what summer is- carefree, open to whatever, anything goes. Regardless, Andrew is amazing, especially in Jack's Mannequin (although I DO love SoCo, JM has my heart). |

| Jack's Mannequin – MFEO: Part 1: Made for Each Other/Part 2: You Can Breathe Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I love the mocking tone to his voice when he says "Some air'd be good for you, well good for you" | |
| A Rocket to the Moon – Fear of Flying Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I really like the lines, "held grudges just to help us sleep, oh my god, how ridiculous were we?" I think in those lines, he's talking about a high school relationship, your first love, when the couple always starts silly arguments for no reason. I know you know what I'm talking about. You pick at little things that are so trivial and not necessary, just to reassure yourself of the relationship. |

| 3OH!3 – Don't Trust Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Cccchelsea has the right idea, kind of. The XXX sign for straight edge originated because at shows, minors would be marked with an X, showing the bartender that they couldn't drink alcohol. The girl in the song is a minor, but she wants to be cool and drink with the bands. She washes the X's off so she can get alcohol. |

| Callahan – dress to impress Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yeah, it's "a target we were guaranteed to miss". Trust me. | |
| Taking Back Sunday – MakeDamnSure Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I always thought it said "too close is close enough" rather than "how close is close enough?" I think I would like that better, but regardless, it's still a wonderful song. |

| All Time Low – Circles Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Q and U are always together. There are very few, (if any), words that have a Q that isn't followed by a U. He's saying that they go together, one is necessary for the other's existence. | |
| Jack's Mannequin – Caves Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Andrew's voice when he says "drip, drip" gets me every time. I love the beginning, it reminds me of an old black and white film. |
|
| Dashboard Confessional – Even Now Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
It's so lovely to hear a song with just Chris and his guitar. Granted, I love EVERYTHING Dashboard has released, I'm partial to the acoustic. I think it's about a couple who goes through a lot- general ups and downs of any relationship, and he's singing about how he'll always come back to her. |

| Vanessa Carlton – White Houses Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Beautifully written, which would be difficult when the topic is losing your virginity. I can't get enough of this song. |

| Bayside – Montauk Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This is quite obviously based on Eternal Sunshine. If you haven't seen it, do so, and then think about it and this song. I thought I'd known the consequence (When he went to get the memory removal thing done, he thought he knew what he was doing. He thought it was what he wanted, but those who have seen the movie know that midway through the procedure he wants out.) Sweetness, can you believe this Mess we made of it, this mess we made of it? (During the procedure, in his mind he's with her going through memories. He can't believe what he's done and regrets doing so.) In years to come, this might make sense (When they meet again after having their memory erased, then get the tape and records mailed to them about the procedure, they're confused.) Sweetness, did you believe this? And what's become of it, what's become of it? (He's pretty much asking her if she thought this would happen.) If you hear this and you think you're ready, meet me in Montauk where we'll write out in the sand (Like 6stringmelody said, there is a scene where you can her here whisper "Meet me in Montauk." That line alone in the song is what made me thing of Eternal Sunshine, and made me start thinking about the rest of the song.) The song could very well be about something else, but if you think it about it, Eternal Sunshine just makes sense. |

| Cinematic Sunrise – Umbrellas And Elephants Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Although I'm a definite Chiodos fan, Cinematic Sunrise has won my heart. Chiodos does have good lyrics, but CS seems to be more emotional. I am oh, so eager to hear more! | |
| All Time Low – Remembering Sunday Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"I'm not coming back (Forgive me) I've done something so terrible I'm terrified to speak (I'm not calling, I'm not calling) But you'd expect that from me I'm mixed up, I'll be blunt (You're driving me crazy) Now the rain is just washing you out of my hair" The lyrics in the parenthesis sounds like Juliett Simms, and the stuff not in the parenthesis really does sound like someone else, when compared to the next part. I just listened to The Scene Aesthetic to compare, and it does sound like him a lot. "And out of my mind Keeping an eye on the world From so many thousands of feet off the ground I'm over you now I'm at home in the clouds, towering over your head" And that is definitely Juliett. |

| The Years Gone By – High School Sensation Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
TYGB is so amazing (: My boyfriend's band played with them, they're really cool guys. Funny story: Towards the end of December, I wore my TYGB shirt to a basketball game and this girl asked what it said. I told her, and she replied with, "Yes, it really has, hasn't it?" Some people just don't know good music.. |
