I love this song as the rest of you do. I think it is about a relationship that is with someone difficult and he is insane to be in it. "I hate it when you say I never fight for you" means to me that this woman is a nagging type that is never happy. "If she bleeds, should I wipe up the stain?" He is always trying to make her happy...Always taking the blame etc...But he still remains with her, "closer thanclose" Also, I do not see that the "actions of a hand as an adulterous act. Simply an act of self-pleasuring that he even feels guilty about cause he would rather take care of himself than deal with her for sex. Damien often refers to acts of masturbation in his songs and at both of the concerts that I have attended of his. Talk about keepin it real! Thats what I love about him. He was talking about the song Amie at his concert and told about "having his way with himself"for about 2 minutes and 45 seconds!We were laughing right along with him...This is my opinion about Insane and I think weve all been with a person like hes talking about. You're damned if you do and your damned if you don't with them. |
