| Seal – Crazy Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i've always thought of the "in a sky full of people only some want to fly" line as being about having no enthusiasm/motivation/interest in living. you just drop out and give up. only some people are willing to deal with the craziness of giving life a go... amazing song. i love that line. interesting and empowering. |

| Selena Gomez & The Scene – I Won't Apologize Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| it sounds more like "i used to accept it." at least that makes more sense. | |
| Arctic Monkeys – Dance Little Liar Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I wasn't an instant-fan of Humbug, but it's growing on me. Brilliant exploration of dishonesty and guilt. "You can never get it spotless." Soul-crushing, that line. Lies can ruin everything. | |
| Ra Ra Riot – Oh, La Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's got a bit of desperation to it, but it's still a really uplifting song. "We have got to stick together." I love it :) Probably my favorite song of theirs. | |
| Arctic Monkeys – My Propeller Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i tend to agree with stelectronic. if it's sexual, it seems odd that he can't get it started on his own. no denying that the song has a drugged, sexual sound. but even though i hear all that, it's got a more lonely, paranoid desperation to it, in my mind at least. "i can't get it started on my own. when are you arriving?" that line always makes me sad, being alone and feeling incapable, waiting for someone to come around... but yea, i still don't really know what to make of this song. good jam, in any case. |

| Britney Spears – Unusual You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"bridges are burning, baby I'm learning" probably the best line of the song. i don't know if she wrote it, but it seems a bit of a response to jt's "cry me a river". i'm not a big fan of britney's, but this song is really very sweet. and sad, in a way. great tune. hope it's a single. |

| Céline Dion – Eyes On Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love this song. It means what it means. The live version is incredible... |
| Eisley – Come Clean Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i think of addiction when i hear this. or someone who struggles with some sort of personal demon. and about having faith in that person, even if they are completely damaged and messy. come clean, kick the habit, and let's get to living. i looooove this song. |

| Girls Aloud – Love Machine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
AM's version kills hearing him say "we're gift wrapped kitty cats" hahaha...brilliant! |
| Arctic Monkeys – Mardy Bum Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i'm a new-er fan, and even though it takes a lot of digging around to find out what in the hell some of the lyrics mean, i absolutely love the sound. i'm bumming that it's taken me so long to hop on the AM wagon. this and 'too much to ask' are probably two of the most interesting songs i've ever had the pleasure to hear... |

| Aimee Mann – Save Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song hurts, from the first to last note. the way she sings "you will come" kills me every single time. |
| Our Lady Peace – One Man Army Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song is absolute perfection. "overlooked, unfit appearance" gets me every time. |
| Darren Hayes – A Conversation With God Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i always associate this song with the idea of jumping off of a bridge. bu i did heard it almost immediately after watching The Bridge documentary. and the lyrics seem to me to be him finally taking the plunge, and then regretting it. "The bubbles, the surface race, they shine and they replicate, I hear it the voice of God is laced with sarcasm" i'm with sbz, this is one helluva a haunting song. |

| Savage Garden – I Don't Care Lyrics | 17 years ago |
To me, this song is all about being numb. People tell me that I care too much. But I DON'T care. At least that's how I take it. But that's the beauty of Darren and Savage Garden. The song can mean something different to people, and it's still this incredible and interesting tune. Conversation with God (hayes) definitely has elements of this song in it. Bravissime, Savage Garden. This is one of my favorites of theirs, one of the purest sounding songs ever. |
| Ace of Base – Just 'N' Image Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i love this song, it's definitely my favorite (this and waiting for magic). love the sound, the bitterness. Definitely the best track on The Bridge. | |
| Ashlee Simpson – Undiscovered Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i've always been bothered with how she says "take it back" at the beginning. she's like, slobbering through those lyrics. but other than that, catchy song. |
| Gavin DeGraw – In Love with a Girl Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i dig the simplicity of this song. it's sweet to know there's someone out there writing songs like this for someone. i love his sound, the feel of the song, the beat...absolutely gorgeous song that has been on a constant loop since i snagged it off itunes | |
| Brooks and Dunn – Ain't Nothin Bout You Lyrics | 18 years ago |
love this song. what a wonderful wonderful thing to sing/say about someone. i'm glad i've got someone in my life who makes me feel like this :D |
| Billy Joel – Pressure Lyrics | 18 years ago |
why all the hate? this song is great! this song brings up memories of having to listen to people whine about meaningless crap, like their lives are horrible. to me, it's about not having to deal with people not manning up and growing a pair. "you have no scars on your face, and you cannot handle pressure!" word to that. it's hard to listen to people bitch and moan when you know their lives are anything but miserable. |
| Peter Gabriel – Big Time Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this song inflates my ego :D whenever i feel like people are idiots and don't understand, i rock out to this. specially the "stretching my mouth" part. what a ridiculous song, packs a good punch. | |
| Darren Hayes – A Conversation With God Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this song is beautiful. desperation at it's most poetic. probably the greatest song on the whole album. | |
| Darren Hayes – Setting Sun Lyrics | 18 years ago |
how has no one commented on this yet? this song is perfection. it's got the gritty, fuzzed out, melodramatic sound i love about hayes. to me, this song represents someone who is worked up and out of time. the "make you hot" stuff seems out of place at first, but after a few listens it fits, at least for me. kind of like him asking the listener if they are on the same page, if they feel like they're headed for a setting sun |
