(it reminds me of the line "i wanna love you but i'd better not touch" (Poison, Alice Cooper)!!) my favourite line is "I don't wanna touch you too much baby 'Cos making love to you might drive me crazy" the song is about knowing that the other person wants you back, and you want him so bad, but you know he's a player(or immature and uncapable to commit) , and probably he's going to break your heart(again!). and the fact that you know he wants you too, makes it more difficult. even if you give in for a night it's going to mean too much for you and you'll fall deaper for him. as a result, you sit around and do nothing, so the other person ends up with someone else and that leaves you wondering whether he's happy with his relationship or is he still thinking about you. also, the lines "I know you think that love is the way you make it So I don't wanna be there when you decide to break it" point out the fear of going back to the same road. when he decides he got bored of you, he will call it off, but it was all about satisfaction for him, but feelings for you. |

i agee with those claiming it's about contemplating suicide, but the phrase "Dreaming my life away counts for nothing" makes me think that once or more everyone has thinked of leaving his life (one way or another) but noone does it. so just dreaming about it counts for nothing. it's a sad song, but hearing him say "It's sure been a full life for me baby" is inspiring too. i hope that everybody could say that. i hope some day i will be able to say that. so this song could be also about living the day and taking actions. it's a long shot but i like thinking of it this way. it's just a thought. |

| i can't believe the best part of the lyrics is missing! "i can't do the talk like they talk on tv, and i can't do a lovesong like the way it's meant to be. I can't do everything, but i'do anything for you, i can't do anything except be in love with you" but the song gives me the idea that juliet doesn't love romeo anymore..maybe that is what makes the song so great, otherwise it would be like all the other silly lovesongs.. | |
