haha these guys are sweet. "I won't find out Don't you worry I'll just watch you Attentively Waiting for you to step on your toes or trip on a shoelace so I could help you find your way down to see you fall on your face" he's pretty much saying that she thinks she's perfect, he knows that she isn't so he's "Waiting for you to step on your toes or trip on a shoelace" and he wants to show her that she isn't so perfect after all. "You promised on your heart But what's a promise made on coal? If you were ever to catch heartburn You'd barbecue your soul" this part makes me laugh every time i hear it. basically saying she's an empty person who doesn't care about others feeling.. or something. |

haha this song is great. i don't really listen to this type of music but i was in gym one day and my friend was like "hey listen to this song!" and he fast forward it to the part where the guy says "I'll take your hope, I'll take your fucking dreams, I'll take your love, I'll take everything you fucking bitch" and i pretty much fell in love haha. partly because of the way he says "bitch" and partly because these are just great lyric. then the next verse "I'll steal the diamonds from your eyes, I'll turn your promises into lies, I'll steal the diamonds from your eyes, I'll turn your promises into lies" is just great. lovelovelove. |

i don't really think this one is about a death.. he says "Though i wish that you WEREN'T breathing. i still just can't believe you're gone" ["weren't", as opposed to saying "were"] the simple mistake of making it say "were" as opposed to "weren't" makes a big difference. i believe its about a break up. he says "I'm filling my lungs, like the knife in my back," basically saying she stabbed him in the back. "We missed our chance, I won't forget, As time will only tell where you go (Time will only tell where you go) Though I wish that you weren't breathing, I still just can't believe you're gone," they could have been something great, but "we missed our chance" by breaking up. even though he wishes her dead, he still can't believe she left him. he wants her back, maybe? |
