ok i know all the guys on a personal level && not just as a fan, so im obviously not gonna take sides, but the whole drug thing was a thing of the past. something the other guys just couldnt let go of. dgd breaking up basically came to a head at a modesto show that i was at when they broke some rules at the modesto underground which also doubles as a church. the final straw was that mingy took off his shirt while performance and nudity of any kind isnt allowed there. jonny was arguing with the director to let them at least finish the song seeing as how most of the fans were in fact there to see them. some words were thrown and jonny went to get in the guys face && sean (who was still in the band at the time) jumped in to hold jonny back. needless to say, the show didnt go on && i had the courtesy of taking jonny outside to calm down && sell merch outside seeing as how the entire band was kicked out of the venue. fast forward to the break up. jonny is in no way involved with drugs besides alcohol, but dgd saw this as a fault in him and used it as an excuse and an easier way to help the fans cope. sean (their old lead guitar) was never really into dgd in the first place but felt obligated to stay in the band once things started picking up. but he eventually left to figure his stuff out, went back to seattle and then returned to citrus heights to join CONSIDER THE THEIF. jonny was left in new jersey by dgd without a place to go or anything. a skylit drive then picked him up && he filled in for jordan for a couple of their shows, then was offered a place to stay in kentucky. jonny is now in EMAROSA and is loving life in B.S. (in my opinion) Kentucky. SO... JONNY NEVER OWED ANYONE MONEY, HE IS NOT ON DRUGS, AND THEREFORE WAS NOT FOUND IN A VAN HIGH. AND THERE'S NO 'H' IN HIS NAME. im essentially nobody to you guys but im considered an important person in jonny's life, all i want is for him to be happy && i know that having ppl who appreciate his music and support him is all he's ever wanted, so please continue to go see him in emarosa, and also support the guys in dgd while they're on their up coming tour with their new vox (who is AMAZING). this fucking song means the most to me out of any song in the whole fucking world...this song was my life. ha! i'm not jordan, no no...but i'm his friend..the 'driver' in the song. it only seems right that i comment on this, seeing as how jordan's departure from asd might have sparked some rumors... this was about a very hard time in his life and this is what came out of it. alot of this was something i wrote to jordan. i never thought he could turn it into a beautiful song. he sang this song for me as a sort of birthday present when he worked out most of the kinks and the last part wasnt added until then. his life now isnt repeating history, jordan's perfectly fine && loving life in a new band. just keep supporting him guys cuz i know his fans mean the world to him. well from what i've been told this song is about a girl who one of the guys was in an off and on relationship with and this song is basically a wake up. she couldnt realize just what this love was about. but this is all about him knowing he's the one for her, the whole 'save me...and im the sword inside your stone'. he's always gonna be there, she just needs to believe that. thank jordan for that one. =] |
