Beautiful song. This whole CD is pretty good, hope this band gets more publicity. I heard the song "I hope I become a ghost" on the movie "World's Greatest Dad", and got addicted to the band from there. |

Overall I think this song is about humanity losing feelings... and becoming apathetic.... Some of the other theories are interesting, such as the suicide one... but I doubt thats the original meaning of it.
As far as the suicide people, I was down in the dumps about 4 years ago... and nearly killed myself, manson was the only music I could relate to at the time. I doubt anyone killed themselves over the Marilyn Manson, but it's definitely music someone can relate too before they go through with it, as oppsed to the thong song lol. And for me my thoughts before I wanted to die was "whats the point", life had lost all meaning. It seemed like everytime I tried to get back up life pushed me back down, and it didn't seem to be getting any better.
Doing better now, Id rather listen Modest mouses Float on song as a better indiciation that things will get better.
