so i had a teacher who everyone used to LOVE and now everyone hates her, but i had always been really close with her and it's so hard for me now because i'm torn between everyone. and she's one of those teachers who would notice if i started to go along with everyone else. this song, circuitously reminds me of her when it says By now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now i just love it |

i just heard this song right as i've been drifting from my sort-of boyfriend... to me its describing when you are in love with someone and you kind of make yourself believe that you really have something with them when really youre just trying to convince yourself that there's something there. and the line "I tell myself All the words he surely meant to say I'll talk until The conversation doesn't stay on "Wait for me, I'm almost ready," When he meant "Let go," its talking about how she had this image of him, like she convinced herself he was telling her things he wasnt and she just interpreted them in the way she wanted as to fit with her dream. and like with my boyfriend, she cant really let go from him because she doesnt know if its REALLY over...like she always feels like theres another chance. |

one of my favorite people in the world put this on a cd she made for me....whenever im mad at her or feel lonely and this song comes up on shuffle it makes me cry lol. its about like holding on to whatever you can, because life is hard and theres not always going to be someone there to comfort you at the time...so you just have to stick it out and fight sadness because 'you can, you can'. i love the 'And oh, it's a strange place. And oh, everyone with a different face but just like you thought when you stopped here to linger we're only as separate as your little fingers.' its so good to listen to even when you aren't near the person who you want to be with...it's reassuring. i dont know why more people havent commented on this song, its amazing |
