Well, Sage actually didn't write this song; a dude from Huntington named Chris Mays wrote this song, and it is not about Katrina. It's actually about his relationship with his super-fundie parents and their disdain for his very different politics and morals.

This is the least bad song on an album that has profoundly disappointed me. I feel like it's by some emo band masquerading as From First to Last; surely no group who could produce a gorgeous beast of an album like Heroine could put out this tongue-tied, ball-less self-titled effort (and I do mean EFFORT; you can tell they're trying so hard to be good without Sonny). And lest you think I am a blindly devoted Moore disciple, he's not nearly as good without muscle behind him, either. Love his voice, love his lyrics, love his songwriting chops. Don't love sleepy acoustronica. |

I think this song is really sweet. It's really sort of a song to his girl, saying that she shouldn't feel sorry about her ex, because it was his loss, and that now she has someone to love her the way she should be. |
