| Although the song is called 'hold up', i think it might be a little play on words and to me means 'holed up' all the way through the song... like in the first verse when he sings "holed up in my prison cell" and again when he talks about his prison cell. | |

| Can't believe the lyrics are up here so soon!! This song has got to be the best one on the album... but i'm sure the others will grow on me after a couple of listens... I think the song is about the end of a relationship and he's feeling pretty bitter about the whole thing but just basically wants to walk away.... I thought the line "take sleeping with a snake like usual" was "take sleeping with a snake like YOU to rip apart my soul...".... ? | |

Its so ironic how this song is released as she seems to be at her lowest point yet... She seems to hit the nail on the head with the lyrics in this song. "I'm Miss Bad Media Karma, another day, another drama" Personally my view is that people should just leave her alone, because she obviously isn't well... all the hype around her situation just creates a bad cycle that is hard to break. As this song is currently at number two in the charts then it goes to show that her talent is still there and her songs can do well. I hope she gets the help she needs soon. |

| I LOVE THIS SONG!! The song to me is about a really up-himself guy who thinks he can get anything and everything he wants, and he meet a woman who turns the tables on him and he gets a taste of his own medicene. The video really goes with that too with the whole bull fighting thing where the bull kinda manipulates the matidor.... a really great song though!! | |

I like how a lot fo people are saying that the song is about relationships and love, but another meaning could be about the major drug abuse situation we have nowadays and the fact that no-one ever wants to talk about it. "Cause I've seen love die way too many times When it deserves to be alive" "I've seen you cry way too many times When you deserve to be alive" "So you give up every chance you get Just to feel new again I think we have an emergency" "These scars, they will not fade away" The physical and mental scars will never fade away.. Thats just my view on the song.... |
