Many of you are taking tha attitude that the officially posted lyrics are, by definition correct. News flash: They aren't scripture folks. Marco clearly says "No need to die to prove a lie." Any written lyrics with that line are correct. Any written lyrics with a different line are wrong. I don't care where they come from or who wrote them. |

I think leekonghian is right. I never followed all the lyrics but when a song has the key words "child" "bleed" "love" and "born again" I always figured it was some sort of Christ reference. But I didn't follow the whole ocean/siren thing and now the reference is clearer to me. It's a great song. I've heard a lot of good songs and even more average ones, this is one of the few that sticks in your head. However, the guitar playing is painfully cheesy. Part of that is because the keyboard player writes the songs and fills up the soundscape with synthesized orchestral instruments (and what a soundscape it is). Why not let the guitar player use a guitar synth? But there's absolutely no excuse for the laughable guitar solo - the worst part of the song. You don't have to be a shredder to pull of an impressive guitar solo, just look at what Dave Gilmour does with his limited physical skills - probably the greatest rock musician who ever lived. |
