i think the song refers to how he can commit to a relationship and he gets too many doubts and worries and cold feet about it. the line "the only rings i want buried with me are the ones around my eyes" clearely states that (sorry if i wrote the line incorrectly, its almost 3 am.) i love this song so much. its so close to heart. its really sad that they can't play it though, cause they end up crying if they do (so i've heard). its like "the pro's and cons of breathing" of FUCT. im surprised this song was hardly commented. the lyrics are self-explanatory, y/y? what CANT Patrick do with that amazing voice? |

Okay, the song is basically about Pete really missing his ex and not taking the break-up well at all. It means that he can't let go, or he won't, or he doesn't know how to. It means that this girl has done so many inspiring things for him, and he's sure that he's the only one for her, but she doesn't think so. Also "i've loved everything about you that hurts" is a quote from the movie 'Closer' , which is one of Pete's favourites. |
