I feel so sad when I listen to this song, because I already felt this way, and I'm always feeling like I'm making the same mistake, because again I feel like I'm not seeing and talking with very important people. I heard something about this in a movie once and it always makes me so sad. I really wanted to spend all the time wich is possible with people that I love, but, for some reason, I never do it, even when I can. |

I really don't think it is a happy song. In fact, when I heard it for the first time I thought it was, but when I paid attetion for the lyric I saw it wasn't. For me is very clear that he dreamt about a perfect world, and he didn't want to wake up for reality, because reality isn't so good. When he says "and it's fading" I think he's talking about the world that only exists in his mind. "Oh, beautiful smiles, won't you stay awhile We could close the door and sleep all day" The beatiful smiles are the happiness in his dream, and he want to "sleep all day", so he can be happy forever. But he's waking up for reality, a not very beatiful world, with not so many beatiful smiles. |
