Mute Math – Typical Lyrics 16 years ago
I think that this song is about the feeling of monotony in everyday life, and trying to break out of it. He's describing the repetitive feeling of an overly-typical life, how it might feel like being hypontized or charmed into living the same way day in and day out. ("Can I break the spell of the typical?" and "It's dragging me down")
He's talking about dreams and possiblilities ("can I dream for one day?" and "There's nothing that can't be done"), and wondering how long it will take for these things to happen ("But how long should it take somebody/Before they can be someone?"), and if he can break out of his 'typical" life.

Mute Math – Picture Lyrics 16 years ago
Ohmygod. Wow, this is really ironic.
This is totally irrelevant to what everyone else has to say about the song, but...
This is the song that inspired me to write the last chapter of this story, in which the same scenario described by Musician211Sean was going on.
0.o
This is freaky but really cool.

AFI – The Leaving Song Lyrics 17 years ago
i think that hes talking about people misunderstanding him.
"poison hearts will never change..."
people are doubting him, saying that hes been poisoned.
he turns away in disgrace, worried that they might be right.
then, the part about the cracks, and "looking down", no one is really getting. i think that there is less of a hidden meaning to that part. he walked away, and is looking down at the sidewalk, seeing the cracks in them. i think he might be numb from whatever he just faced, and hes just thinking random thoughts about falling through the cracks. the world can pass me by, i'll just be here staring at the cracks, is what he's thinking.
about him "feeling the chill" upon his face, and the "cooling from within", he is sad, and depressed. i know for a fact that when that kind of thing gets to be really bad, you feel cold, like something inside you is freezing you from the inside out. its a lonely, hopeless feeling. this happens only in the worst of circumstances, but judging by the rest of the song, i would say that that is exactly what this is.

Madina Lake – Adalia Lyrics 18 years ago
adalia is doing something, or is involved in something, that she wants to continue, but isn't good for her. i dont think its like a drug or an addiction, but something else. im not sure what. she doesnt know what she wants to do because this is makng her life worse, and she likes it. she must be feeling even worse because this boy got involved and now he's "addicted to her", and making her more confused.

My Chemical Romance – Desert Song Lyrics 18 years ago
i think i actually know what he is talking about. he's talking about what would have happened if they, the band, had given up. "from the lights to the pavement, from the van to the floor, from backstage to the doctor, from the earth to the morgue"
he is ultimately saying that if they didn't get their big break when they, they would've gone downhill and eventually died. over reacting, maybe? i hope so. but thats what i think it means.

Breaking Benjamin – The Diary of Jane Lyrics 18 years ago
I think that yes, Jane is dead, but not undead. She's not like a ghost or a vampire or something. I think that maybe he did something that made her unable to love anyone. Maybe that's what he meant by "if you say this love is the last time". By him finding his place in her diary, he probably means that he wants to mean something to her. He wants to be in her diary, then reads it after she dies to find out what exactly she thought of him. Maybe he burned it because she still didn't forgive him?

30 Seconds to Mars – Savior Lyrics 18 years ago
This is so obviously about religion. No one seemed to really hit on the actual meaning of "save me". In christianity, when you save a person, you convert them, "show them the light", so to speak. In the song, he is challenging someone to save him, to give him proof that what they are saying is true. He wants them to give someone else's opinion a chance, and to not count everyone else as wrong until they've seen these things firsthand. "Until you see, how could you believe?"
