I once saw an interview of a girl who was a The Cure fan, she said that not only because of the music you become a fan of this band...there's something about them...the voice,the lyrics,everything catches you... you not only LIKE this band...YOU JUST LOVE THEM!!, you sometimes feel they are playing for you... I suppose that's why sometimes they are called "a band for obsessive people"...ja! obsessive...anyway...PICTURES OF YOU and A LETTER TO ELISE are just fabulous!!!! About the meaning..well yeah!...it is about losing something... accepting you have it and you lose it or you just let it go...regrets!.. |

I believe this song is one of the best in history!!... We all have felt that THIS person is the ONE... we dream about how the first kiss is going to be...and all those sensations we think we are going to feel...but most of the times when we finally take the chance and when we say everything we wanted...we discover it was better in our minds... That's what this song is about...we "create" a perfect person in our minds, with the image of our beloved...but sometimes our imagination betrayes us. |
