This song can have two meanings. The first is that no matter what we do, what we say, or where we are, God will always be there, waiting for us to let Him love us. The other meaning, which I relate to more, is a guy who loves a girl, and she won't let him love her. He is always there for her, no matter what. And he is waiting for her to let him help her and love her. |

I love this song. It reminds me of my fiancee and I, because before we got together, she was a cutter. I was always there for her, and still am. Now we're both stronger with each other and with God. As for the song itself, it's what John and Korey went through before they were married, according to an interview John gave. He sings the part that represents himself, and she sings the part that represents herself. |

I always see this as a song about falling in love with sin, and then later realizing what you are doing is wrong, and devoting your life to Christ. ccjamp, you make an interesting point, but if it was Christ, it would be while He was still in prayer in the garden of Gethsemane while on the mountain. People judge by what they see, and try to make you feel like an outcast. However, God loves us no matter what, and only He can say when it comes to excommunication. The world can try to excommunicate us for whatever reasons, and the church can try to excommunicate us for a slightly different action on our beliefs, but only God has the decision for excommunication from heaven. |
