| The song has a sad kind of atmosphere to it. I think the band is talking about materialism. You know, placing too much importance on the physical world - money, fame, image etc. It defines the meaning of their lives. Moreover, the song looks at materialists in a sorrowful way, not an angry one. "You are mine", keeping the band's christianity in mind, would be the word from God. God is saying that "They are mine", "They" being the obsessed materialistic people. Meaning that God is giving special time to the poor, obsessive materialistic people. They are for God to save. | |
