| Yellowcard – Five Becomes Four Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is about Ben Harper "Needed some time so i could find A little strength to redfine What i have done what ive become i never asked to be the one" Ryan was pretty sad after Ben left, the line i never asked to be the one is because ryan was the one who told ben to leave the band even though it was a complete band decsion, ryan was the one who had to confront ban so he was looked at as the bad guy but he did do some bad things to ben. When writing lights and sounds, ryan and pete moved to new york to try to right a pure rock album and they blocked ben completely out of the writing process of lights and sounds thinking he might mess up there goal of a pure rock record. But for ryans defense, Ben was spending more time at his record company Takeover records than with yellowcard. |

| Yellowcard – Empty Apartment Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is about Warren Cooke the ex-bassist of yellowcard who left before ocean avenue. Ryan and Warren got in a fight and thats why he left. The lyrics will explain the rest. If you watch the "making of ocean avenue" when you buy ocean avenue, ryan explains the songs about a good friend who is no longer in yellowcard and that they had a falling out. | |

This song is about one of Ryans ex girlfriends from Florida. Before Writing Paper Walls he was living back home in Jacksonsville so im guessing its about a girl he continues to hook up with but she keeps leaving him and wont committ because shes "afraid" to let anyone in. Instead she continues to lead him on. P.S Ryan now lives in L.A with his kid sister |

| Yellowcard – Fighting Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think its funny everyone thinks this song is about a relationship. It's actually about yellowcard fans and how so many of them complained about lights and sounds and how it wasnt like ocean avenue. He's saying in the song that he wont ever give up on writing and hopes everyone of the fans(even the One for the Kiss fans who said yellowcard sold out) will come around. He's not sure what hes fighting for | |
