I told my best friend that my boyfriend gave me butterflies and she and I had been listening to ADTR for a while. Then one day she texted me and told me to listen to this song specifically for the "you gave me butterflies" part. I immediately fell in love with the song and when my boyfriend left to go on vacation for 3 weeks, I told him to listen to this song and he fell in love with it too. This is our song. For my upcoming birthday, I'm going to get a tattoo of 2 or 3 butterflies with a mailbox. This song is pure genius and so sweet! |

I think this song is about exactly what the title says..."Fighting for Nothing". It makes sense. You need to believe in what you're fighting for because if you don't believe in it, you won't try very hard. Anyway, I really like the first and second verses and then the chorus is great! I love their new album. |

This song is one of their best. It's about losing the love of your life. I agree with dat MLE chick. I don't think it's really possible for someone to change their mind about the "one they're in love with". You're either in love with them when you marry them/are in a relationship or you're not. I don't believe you can fall out of love. This song is really great. I'm just like everyone else, I also like the part "He's 2 and she's 4 and you know they adore you....." GREAT PART! I can't believe no one has commented on this song. Well, it's an outstanding, beautiful song. In the book, she's never in a good mood (you wouldn't if you were green). Throughout her whole time at Shiz, she and Galinda never quite got along, but in the end, being around Galinda has changed her as a human for the better. My uncle made a slideshow for my grandpa's funeral and we chose this song to go with it. This song makes me cry everytime I hear it. Not only b/c it's a great song but b/c it was so true with my grandpa. If I never knew him, I wouldn't be the person I am today.

I think the 1st and 2nd verses are about a woman who's dying and then her husband or son being mad at God. Then, the last few verses are JUST about God.
