I got nothin', but I swear the second line is "I need to feel it when the girl starts coming on", not "drug". I try and try to hear "drug" but that just doesn't work. Perhaps I'm just working from a bad rip. Does anyone else hear this? |

See Occams_Harmony, with a stipulation. This song is about the typical maniac personality, but it sounds to me like it's sung by the manic aspects of himself, to the "well adjusted" or "normal" aspect of himself. "I'm the reason I can't go out"... |

I'd say this song is about more than just someone being fake. To me, the section "Every time you're here, I forget. And when you leave, you leave only regret", says that he knows the relationship with Aluminum-lady is a bad idea, but it's blocked out when he's with her. Because emotions are like that. And maybe I'm reading into this excessively, but the section "You can shine like silver all you want, but you're just aluminum" could be taken to mean that she can consider herself "silver", or second place (to his current girlfriend / wife's "gold"), but it's a position she has by default, and it doesn't reflect on her supposed qualities. Listening to that song for a few days straight helped me pull all of that out of it. |
