these lyrics are completely wrong. the original ones posted are closest to what's on The Offspring's official website: I am the one Camouflage and guns Risk my life To keep my people from harm Authority Vested in me I sacrifice With my brothers in arms Through this doorway What’s on the other side Never knowing Exactly what I’ll find Locked and loaded Voices screaming Let’s go! Come on do it! Here we go Take a life That others may live Oh that’s just the way it goes Shut my eyes It hammers in my head Where it’ll end nobody knows Take a life That ten others may live Oh that’s just the way it goes It’s playing over and over in my head Where it’ll end Nobody knows Stay the course Reasonable force I believe I serve a greater good Smoke and dust Enemies are crushed Nothing left Where a man once stood Through this doorway What’s on the other side Never knowing Exactly what I’ll find Locked and loaded Voices screaming Let’s go! But I’m just doing what I’m told Take a life That others may live Oh that’s just the way it goes Shut my eyes It hammers in my head Where it’ll end Nobody knows Take this life That ten others may live Oh that’s just the way it goes It’s playing over and over in my head Where it begins And where it’ll end Nobody knows Bang bang it hammers in my head Bang bang it hammers in my head Bang bang it hammers in my head In my head In my head Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me Locked and loaded Gonna find my truth Now I’m busting through All hell breaks loose And you can all hide behind your desks now And you can cry, ‘teacher come help me!’ Through you all My aim is true. |

Brock is not "pretty big on drugs." Get your facts straight. You're one of those ignorant fools that thinks the only way to expand your mind or understand anything is to take drugs. Listen to "The Good Times Are Killing Me". Isaac is a genius. |

| Streetlight Manifesto – Down Down Down to Mephisto's Cafe Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
mephisto is a demon from marvel comics. "Mephisto is a demon and is commonly mistaken for (and sometimes poses as) the biblical version of Satan. He cultivates this interpretation for the influence it gives him over humans who believe in the teachings of Christianity; whether the entity Satan actually exists in the Marvel universe remains unestablished. It is believed that Mephisto and many other "Hell Lords" were created from the primeval concentration of evil energy left in the wake of the fleeing Elder Gods when they were driven from the Earth by the entity Atum millions of years ago. Both the Silver Surfer and the Thunder God Thor become perennial foes for Mephisto, who detests the fact that they are shining examples of what mankind could one day become." |

the one part of this song i dont understand is the 'i'm finding it hard to believe we're in heaven' i dont get it.. like doesnt he feel like he's in heaven when he's with her? er... like the im finding it hard to believe paret sounds to me like 'yeah right we're in heaven. it would make mores sense to say something like i cant believe we're NOT in heaven.. anyone have any thoughts on this? |

mkay. this song is NOT about a nun. nuns do not go out with guys and they never drink. this song is about two catholic people. thats why she's his 'sister.' it's not meant literally. catholic believe that everyone is bro/sis cause god is their father. anyway.. so two people from church go out one night. they both get drunk. he walks her to her place and she says come in w/ me. as he walks inside he sees religous pictures and stuff on the walls. this reminds him about the church. catholics are very into making themselves feel guilty for sinning. he's like shit i should go cause this is going to turn bad. catholics have to be married to have sex. that's why she's a virgin. he tells her that she's being a bad girl cause it's against their religion to be doing what she wants to do. he's a guy alone w/ a girl and so 'the whisper of lust' is him still being aroused even tho they shouldnt have sex. he tries to stop this by saying 'no touching tonight.' she's like fine just tuck me in then. 'he knew his judgement was sound' means that he believes he can resist the temptation cause he knows his judgement is correct. he pulls back the sheets anyway and tells her to just lie down because 'the angels are watching.' catholics believe that god can see everything we do at all times.. like santa lol. she tells him to stop talking. she really wants him and knows that he's feeling guilty so she tries to seduce him by saying 'you can hurt me do whatever you like.' telling him she's all his and he can do whatever to her. 'her every word was in italics' means that she's speaking very uh harshly i guess telling him to just do it. 'the walls were full of broken promises' means that all the religous stuff on the walls like they promised to follow comandments and not fornicate. when she says 'tell me what to do' this is refering to her being a virgin. she's never had sex and so she wants him to tell her what to do. he realizes that if he has sex with her he'll be taking away her virginity so this makes him 'know by then he was done.' this makes up his mind and he's like nope not gonna do it. when she says 'you can hurt me do whatever you like' again he says 'shut your mouth girl the angels are listening' telling her that god can see what they're doing. when she crosses herself she's mocking the religion like yeah uh huh ok look i crossed myself lets move on now. the lyric 'questions unheard of' is incorrect. the real lyric is 'questions on her tongue.' she has these questions like why does he have to be like this why cant we just have sex because she's very aroused. things get awkward after this and so she says 'close th door when you go.' being rude to him. another way of saying 'dont let the door hit you on the way out.' now that she's mad at him he's like ahhh maybe i should have just done it with her but his conscience says 'oh no.' thats it. |
