well i believe he is telling the story of how he fell in love with his addictions to drugs. he would use these drugs to cope with any pain he had and eventually they took over. and he knows he needs help. he is begining to regret the friends that he has lost due to his drug habbits. and seeks help through his friends. those that stcuk with him told him to keep his chin up, keep trying and you will beat your demons. to me the song doesnt hint to weither or not he beat his habbits in the end, but i believe the mystery in the story makes for some deep powerfull lyrics. |
