What I love about this song is that its intentional meaning is not obvious so people can relate to it in many ways. It's intentional meaning however is about gay marriage, this song is almost answering back to Bush's decision on gay marriage. Correct me if I'm wrong but I also get this feeling is about hope from thius song. As in, you have to stay together and keep on fighting for that right... |

I can see people are feeling very different messages from this song. But I really just see it as a song about getting older, about excitement dying down and basically getting to the time in your life when the *spice* of your life is gone. Excitement and fun are replaced with a regular suburban life, thats all I see in it. |
