| I think this is GREATER than celebrity or being against bush the song talks about society believing everything that they see (on the TV) and not questioning things anymore. If this continues to happen our fate as a nation will be doomed and we will be living in a sort of 1984 world. People on here claim Incubus (specifically BB) to be paranoid but how do you know what the government is REALLY doing? Do you work for the FBI or CIA? ------on a side note when i met Brandon Boyd and asked him to sign a copy of 1984 he wrote----Believe It !---(the book)....just like that | |

i think this song talks about many things all tied together by kennylz story but some lines remind me of the war in Iraq I seen a fuck-fest in the sun.- might be talking about soldiers in Iraq fighting in the desert It's American surprise: Side of Islam. Side of lies. Then you've got a thousand to one right here. The government's reasoning into going to war might be seen as lies and somewhat of a surprise because of the rashness of it all but i'm not really sure what the last line means. maybe he feels like he is up against a powerful force by himself It's been a crazy winter. It's gonna be a crazy summer. Again this could be talking about the continued fighting but the lines are too general to be sure it could mean just about anything |
