i think it about a young girl who is pregnant and is scared that ppl will find out and of what they will think when they do which kinda fits with the first verse, especially: "It there, Inside, /All I do is hide, /I wish that it would just go away, /What would you do?" the rest of the song is like an explanation of her relationship that went bad and now only she has to deal with the consequences of having a kid. she cant deal with whats happening to her so she just wants it to be over and for someone/something to come and take her away from everything. but thats just my interpretation |

kinda like serqe fabrizio said, i think this songs about his "weakness", presumably a girl, who doesnt return his love (as in she is his kryptonite, bad for him but he still loves her and wants to be around her anyway) He loves so much that he doesnt care what happens as long as she will "be [his] friend at the end" and hes asking her if she will take care of him than, when she took him always being there for her for granted all the time. the part about "I watched the world float to the Dark side of the moon" is showing his hopelessness that she will eventually love him and is retreating into his mind in desperation, not drugs at all like some people suggested. overall its kinda like a love song if you thing about it... thats just my interpretation anyway =P |

this is pretty much the best song on the album in my opinion, but only because of the overall sound of the band.. metal wasnt written to be used to support religion in this way. Metal is the essence of antireligion and using it this way is heresy you might say. other then that, im cool with dh and they rock |

i think the over all message can be applied not to just heroine but any addiction cause every addict goes through the same stages of denial and then knowing that they are hurting the ppl they care about, but they dont care cause they love it too much, like what darthlecter13 said. and by the way killswitch does a kickass cover of this song..its amazing live |
