| yah the lyrics on this page are aweful...yet if you know the song and understand the meaning, these lyrics won't effect your view too much. This song is about a relationship that could never be..whether its because hes with someone else or visa versa, it was hopeless from the start. All of the other ways he could have approached this person/situation would have ended in the same conclusion anyway. No ones wins, no one loses..as he conveys when he keeps switching who wins and loses in this situation. How could it be any other way? The philisophy he is walking away with from this situation is that it is what it is. It will all be okay, because it is what its supposed to me. There is no other way. | |

This song to me is about a disfunctional relationship that they are putting the breaks on. "well the windshiel was broke, but i love the fresh air ya know" coveys that although the relationship wasn't working, he still enjoyed some aspects of it, however instead of letting it play out and get worse, they are ended what left of their decaying union. This is shown through the lyrics "we scheme and we scheme but we always blow it We've yet to crash, but we still might as well tow it." I do not find this some uplifting, dispite the upbeat tempo, yet if your an optimist, you may see the good of ending an already 'car wreck' of a relationship before you are burned alive in the wreckage. |
