i think this song is incredible. ive always loved it and i love it more now that i feel i can relate to it.
tome its just this big long back n forth between a guy and a girl who both are just confused about the relationship. the difference is hes scared and wont move forward even though he wants to and shes scared but is willing to take the risk.
when its all over he realizes his mistake and wants her back. he knows he took what he had for granted. |

im really connecting with this song somehow. im hopelessly in love with this girl from my town and no matter what i do i cant get over her. i tried everything, i barely even speak to her anymore and that was working for a bit. i felt over her but i was with her the other day and she just gave me this look and i was instantly reeled back in. now i find myself sitting here, missing her, listening to this song and typing my heart out to a bunch of people who dont care. this is what love does. it makes you crazy. |

i used to hate this song because it started out weird and it just wasnt my type of music, this was years ago before i really started appreciating music in all forms. i love this song now its one of his best. i love how it just seems so manic and crazy in the beginning and then when its about to end it breaks down a little and when he says those last two lines "without you everything falls apart, without you its not as much fun to pick up the pieces." it really kind of hits home for me.
i think this song can be taken both literally and metaphorically. we all knew about trents past problem with drugs and we also know he can write some terribly heart wrenching songs about being in love and it not working out. the mans just a pure musical genius, i respect him more than anyone else in the music business. hes always done what he wanted and made the music he wanted. hes a true role model for any aspiring musicians |

i know this is old but this is a truly frustrating comment. you sir are an obnoxious ass. jesse lacey loves this band he says theyre record is one of the most beautiful records ever written. hes a fanboy just like you so dont bash someone who shares the same opinion you do.
ive been a fan of brand new since i was like 12. im 19 going on 20 now and fyi i didnt commit suicide. and last i checked no one claimed they wrote this. dont comment on a bands page if all youre gonna do is bash them cause if i came over and bashed nmmh (which id never do...i love them) youd probably be pissed and think how could someone say that about such a great band. and not only did you insult the band you insulted us, the fans and thats fucked up dude. i can only hope that by now youve gotten a life and matured a little bit since you posted this. |

this song is just about waking up and seeing things how they truly are. Its like one day you look at life one way and then something dramatic in your life happens and it changes everything about you. how you see the world, yourself, your whole entire life. thats happened to me recently and then i heard this song. it is truly beautiful music and when the whole crowd comes in its like incredible. it makes me think trent added to kind of put more of a message in the song. like hes saying hes a famous musician and people love and cheer for him but all of that means nothing because of how he views the world. He looks deeper into life, reads between the lines, and sees that not everything is how it is presented to you. theres always more, always something deeper.
sorry for ranting i just take so much away from this song. i havent related so well to one artist in such a long time. hes a true genius. |

the first time i ever heard this i was really high, and i was sitting in a room with my two best friends and one of them decided to put this album on. when this song came on it was like the whole world just stopped and everything just felt so calm and serene it was unreal. when i hear this song i kinda relive that moment and it just makes everything alright again, at least for a little. |

i know for me when i think of this song i think of a girl i really like and how she and i used to be so close and i was so scared to tell her. one night i finally worked up the courage but she didnt feel the same way she just wanted to be friends and i was okay with that because i just enjoyed being with her. it was "heaven" for me. |
