| Patrick Wolf – Tristan Lyrics | 16 years ago |

First, sorry for the mistakes in my english. I don't know if it was in Patrick Wolf's mind... but it's funny: the name "Tristan" comes from the old gaelic, "drust", and it means "uproar", "revolt". Later, the christians used the word "triste", "sad", to transform the name. from the revolt to the sadness... Two meanings of a same name. Just like in this song. I like this song for an obvious reason: my name is Tristan (for real :) ) It's such a common name in France (where I come from), but I didn't know it exists in english too. I heard Tristram, never Tristan. |

| Sufjan Stevens – They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back from the Dead!! Ahhhhh! Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I may be wrong... but this song seems to talk about burried and forgotten nations, "awaken by the axe"... nations which leave nothing else but states' names (Illinois) or city's names (Shawneetown, Kankakee I suppose),... It could be about natives, couldn't it? |
