Mazzy Star – Into Dust Lyrics 17 years ago
good job evanx for one: correcting devil 01. get your facts straight before posting. and two: learn how to spell. evanx still had all the right letters, where you devil 01 just showed pure ignorance. you probably have no clue what this song means. fake people are so annoying.

Sufjan Stevens – A Loverless Bed (Without Remission) Lyrics 17 years ago
i don't find this song half as cryptic as it being indirectly direct, if that makes sense. i do think it is coming from the woman's point of view, where something has gone wrong in the relationship, and she's accepted him back in her bed over and over again... yet, nothing seems to change, and she's blinded herself to things that keep interfering in the relationship being what it could be, and ignored the things that never change in the relationship, that should. she sleeps with him but doesn't want to lie next to him because in the end she's always "in the red" (i.e. hurt).

that's my interpretation, anyway.

JoeDixon - you're an effing moron. When she says, "I want to see you in your eyes" it's the same as saying, "I want to walk in your shoes"... effing moron. You must've been stoned writing complete and utter nonsense. What a dumbass.

Mazzy Star – She's My Baby Lyrics 17 years ago
I saw this song as describing a kidnapping. either from the stand point of the kidnapper, or from the view of the kidnapped.

Britney Spears – What It's Like To Be Me Lyrics 18 years ago
off of your sleeve? seriously?
"i can see, obviously"

btw this is one of the songs justin timberlake wrote for her album... or the only one. he's clearly on the song, too. if that wasn't "obvious". heh.

Sarah McLachlan – Do What You Have To Do Lyrics 18 years ago
when i first heard this song, it was my favorite because it applied to a relationship i was having at the time. as what happens when you listen to most songs, you tend to find something relatable.

but i remember when monica lewinsky said this was a song she got through to get over her whole "ordeal" with clinton. she's a weirdo.

sarah mclachlan's response to that bit of "news" made her troubled or think monica was "troubled" because sarah simply described the song as a "dangerous obsession with someone"...

you draw your own conclusion, but ever since then, that's how i viewed the song. as far as monica is concerned... the dangerous obsession seems fairly accurate. yet sad.
