I hate to break it to those who see this song as merely a love song, but if you listen VERY closely to this song, Meany clearly sings "You are mine, oh Lord," every third time during the four times he says "You are mine" (make sense?). These lyrics are incorrect. This song is a worship song. |

I just think he's giving control to God and surrendering his life to Him. To be with God is to be "in a parachute to glide." |

Ok guys...so I think he's saying that out of all the obsessions people have, there is just one, and only one, that you cannot control. And this "one addiction" is God. There are all sorts of "objects of affection" out there that we can get distracted by, or "mesmerized," but still his addiction is God. |
