such a great song. the meaning i get from this song is that the girl is a recurring girl. sorta like, a friends-with-benefits type. she only likes him as a friend, but he may want something more. and she only wants to be romantically involved in the bedroom, nothing more. he doesnt want to play any games, she just wants to stay bedroom buddies, and he doesn't want to be hurt by her. but in the end, the conclusion he has come to is that he should just end the relationship with her all together. no friends. no benefits. |

i think that you,nani rfl, have head it right on the head. this song depresses me. yes, i know, its meant to be uplifting. & i would be if i was in those shoes. being the abused one in the relationship, the one getting hurt. but i was on the other side of that... ...it hurts that he left me. and i know he wants me back. but he wont because he's afraid of being hurt. he's afraid of me getting hurt. but this song is just pure amazing.i was supposed to see them next week @ allstate in chicago, but ironically, i was supposed to go with the guy who i got "the best of". i miss him...& not just because i wanted to see the foo live. |

well we all pretty much have the same views on this one I'd say. This is about a guy who is under 17 and his gal pal is 17. So he's 16 I guess. They are in an emotionally dominated relationship. They dont have much time until she turns 18 so they can get away with having sex. Yet they dont. "you feel like heaven when we touch, I guess for me this is enough." "will you remember me? whoa. No comments huh? This is my favorite song off of the kicks of passion. I wasnt too crazy about them until I heard this song. It was beautifully written. And deserves to be given a chance. So. Cmon! Listen to it! As for the meaning: I'm thinking its to a girl. And she's going through relationship problems. She was really hurt by her boyfriend. And the singer is telling her that he'll always be here for her. "she may be down but she's breathing and still alive" as in, he was just a guy. And there is nothing to Fret over, and she'll be okay. |

Well. obviously 3 pages into the comments, I'm sure everyone can plainly see what this song is about. So, I'll just indulge you all with what the song means to me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- a few weeks ago, I starting getting to know this fella. Let's call him tax.another fella(we shall call him abbs)who is A good friend of mine who ive always had feelings for and who I know has always had feelings for me, yet he hasnt had the balls to do anything about it after 3 years , and I was getting tired of waiting. Abbs also happens to be one of tax's good friends but I have never met tax. So I'm liking tax. Tax is liking me. Yet we dont know that. Abbs does. So tax asks for abbs' help in trying to win me over. Abbs obliges eventhough he has feelings for me. So tax and I are hitting it off. And I'm having a great time getting to know tax. Yet, I didn't want abbs to forget about me. Because he still and will always hold a special place in my heart. What I thought I wanted was closure from abbs. To ask him if he was okay with me being with tax. So he had a very emotional conversation. And it led to us sharing our feelings for each other. We are in love. Its was great to finally get it all out. A load off the chest. But. What about tax? Well, I can't really. Ugh. Uggggggghhhh. Its tough stuff. I can choose to go with tax and ignore the feelings for the one guy ive ever loved. And have abbs be hurt as well as myself, yet we both feel a need to consider tax's feelings. Tax really cares about me. But tax and abbs are like brothers. I couldn't bear them ending their friendship because of me choosing abbs. So. After deliberation. I tearfully told the boy ive always loved that it would be best to ignore our feelings for each other and I'll go on with tax. Abbs understands. Tax is his best friend. And we both dont want to hurt him, so we are hurting ourselves. Yes, its not healthy at all. The first time i heard this song, was the day after thus happened. And I pictured it from abbs POV.like him singing this to me. So yes. I won't bother going through the entire song, since I have already taken up much of your time. But just listen to it. And read along while keeping this story in mind. "I'll bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor, and ask my girl to dance, she'll say yes...." No matter what, I will always be abbs' girl. Wow. The first time I heard the song, I kept tuning out. Until I heard the chorus towards the end, you know when its kinda acapella? whoa. The whole use of repetition(-ack) in that hook, is what really stood out to me. As for the meaning? I saw it as a story using acting & theatrics as a symbol. De-de-de to me! black cat, is a fireworks brand. Er. I'm not much help. |
