| Beautiful song. Just some thoughts. A long term boyfriend had betrayed the trust and ddin't think the girl would react as badly as she did to it. The girl was having doubts about their relationship, realising he was well a dick and considering breaking up when usually she would crawl back to him (final last call bit) she gives threats that she'll leave him but doesnt follow them through so he didnt think it would be a big deal but maybe what he had done was different or bigger this time or she had just had enough of being treated badly. Basically about a girl who realises she is worth more a boyfriend who doesnt respect her but doesn't really want to do anyhting about it because she thinks she loves the guy or doesnt want to leave him for a diff reason. Maybe now she is begginning to realise that the 'love' isnot worht the pain in this realtionship. | |

I agree with lauraJ about the meaning of the song; hate. Butt I dont think its sick (it would be sick if he actuallyyy done what he was singing about) i like the song :) I'm so sorry darling Did I do the wrong thing? Oh, what was I thinking? Is his heart still beating? -Yeah i think this bit is sarcastic. but also he's sorry she had to see that. although it seems like he thinks its her fault like - 'oh sorry darling. did iii do the wrong thing?! oh what was iii thinking?!' (when she was just cheating on him). then the 'is his heart still beating?' like his thinking was interrupted when he rememberd he had just shot someone and oh maybe he hadn't completely finished him off (and got rid of the problem). |

i think it's on about feeling dead inside, not actual suicide. and it also kinda says the reason, a relationship that he's either in and the girl doesnt care about him or something like that is worng with it anyway and he really likes her and knows he should leave but can't or a relationship that is now gone.. like the word 'nostalgia' i think needs to be put in here, (hope i got the meaning right!) but he wants to tell his past lover how much she means to him but simply cant cos it hurts too much to even see her let alone talk. Possibly..? |
