| I think this song is definitely about Blake like pretty much all her songs on Back to Black. I think its about the period when they first broke up and he went back to his old girlfriend and Amy is saying how hard it is between them now because she's wondering when they'll be just friends instead of constantly hooking up. They hookup when she thinks too much about it or is drunk or in the morning when he has morning wood or if they are hanging out with friends and everyone's sleep. Pretty much anytime they are alone together and she's saying she knows it hurts him to do that to his girl (because I think he broke up with Amy because she kept cheating on him) so they try to restrain themselves from fooling around but its hard. | Wow it's crazy all the interpretations that people get from this song. It's cool but just bizarre. The song is simple, it's about a girl who's has great sex with him plain and simple. Also there is no meaning per say to the video. Alot of the shots like the slap, the chicken eating, etc., were just thrown in on a shooting day because they just wanted to do it. | |

I agree johnisawesome! I just actually listened to the lyrics of this song and it shocked me because it's about a man cheating on his girl. He's with the other women and he's telling her why he needs to leave and get out of the situation because he has a girl at home and he needs to tell her the truth about cheating but first to clear his consciousness he's going to go home and make love to her and tell her he loves her, until the next time he leaves and he knows he's going to do the same thing again. Makes me think John wrote this from personal happenings... |

So pretty much you're calling John Lennon, the man who wrote this song, a liar?? Look any body can take acid and see double meanings in songs but just because the song has imagery to it doesn't mean it's about LSD. Imagery is used all the time in POETRY! John even stated that the "Lucy" was in the picture his son drew and he revamped her in his MIND of his "perfect woman with kaleidescope eyes" because at the time he did who she was. But at the time he stated that, he said "Lucy" was Yoko before he actually met her. John Lennon is probably rolling in his grave because people keep souring his name by making all his songs drug related. |
