I used to think that this song is overrated. Then I heard it. Now I love this song. Not for its lyrics, because I honestly have no idea what the meaning behind them is. It just sounds amazing. |

| The White Stripes – We're Going to Be Friends Lyrics

Best song that the White Stripes ever made. I like their more "Rock" songs too. But this one takes me back to my childhood. It's one of the few songs that has actually made me smile just from hearing it. That's quite an accomplishment. |

@Cam-win:
Jack writes good songs. His lyrics are pretty damn good, I think. And the sound of the music is soothing. It's good stuff to just kick back and relax to. It always makes me smile. I think that's why people like it. |

Personally, I think this is the best song Aerosmith ever did. It's not just because the music sounds good. The lyrics are amazing. |

I have nightmares about this song. Especially after that internetisseriousbusiness.com thing. I got trapped into that about 100 times.
Remember when they did this on Family Guy? |

This is perhaps Tom Petty's best song. Great lyrics, great music. The first time I heard this song, I had to stop and soak it all in. It just makes me happy. Not sure why. |

This is beautiful. I've never really thought of it like this before. At the part where he says "It was you, it was me, it was every man. We've all got the blood on our hands." a chill goes down my spine. It's so true. Everyone is so quick to point that finger at anyone but himself. It's about time a guy makes a song blaming everybody, including himself. |

To those who don't know, the DLG he sings about is a building in UC Santa Barbara. That's where he went to college. He actually went to the same college as my sister and has a degree in the same field as my brother. This is a very calming and happy song. Still not sure why he sings about a woman with bubbly toes which are infested with tar balls and scars. |

| Jack Johnson – Times Like These Lyrics

I heard this song's live version when he played it for the first time. He said "It's sort of about all the American flags on cars, and it's not a bad thing at all, but, It's just good to realize that God would want to bless everybody on Earth."
At the time I hadn't heard much of his stuff, so I was actually a little bit pleasantly surprised to find out that he believed in God.
This is a very nice song. |

johnielsen08: "Who said he was a Christian? I've never heard anything that overtly suggests such a thing, whether in lyrics or interviews."
In the song that this discussion is about he clearly says "you'll see it's a blessing and not a curse"
Blessings come from God. |

I like just about anything Jack Johnson writes, but this one is especially nice. It reminds me of how much I love the rain, too. :D |
