| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Get On Top Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Dunno what it's about. One reason this song's great; My nickname's been Sammy D for years, though I like the Chilis, I only just realised that they say it in the song. Might be my new themetune. peace |

| Wishbone Ash – Throw Down The Sword Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is wonderful: it's a great blend of folky British sounds and classic prog/early metal energy. To me, it's telling the story of an English hero who old and tired of fighting with victory just in sight. This could be a metaphor for any kind of struggle. Epic man. |

| To me, it sounds like the sixties. | |
| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Little Wing Lyrics | 18 years ago |

it's about a girl the first verse is about how she's kindof spacy caught up in her own head and he then kindof suggests that they're both trippping. and then he talks about how they're connected on all kinds of spiritual and physical levels. i reckon that's what it is what a fucking incredible tune. |

| Edith Piaf – Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| N.W.A. – Express Yourself Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This is a great song. They're talking about when Fuck Tha Police got banned on the radio and they felt like couldn't express themselves freely even though they were telling the truth while all the mainstream hip-hop that was coming through was bullshit and imitators. It's great for just chilling or smoking up to. |

| Genesis – I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I know there's lots of different ways of interpreting this, but to me it's about a young child; too young to worry about life or to really understand it. He's lying on the bench in the garden of his rural home and listening to the hustle and bustle coming from in the house, while out in the sun the gardener simply mows the lawn. | |
| Genesis – Firth Of Fifth Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To me, this is British escapism. The whole theme of the SEBTP album is a patriotic yearning for the England of old. So here, a knight or king rides past the homes of ordinary folks. The noble is compared with god or jesus and in a way the song is saying that England needs a saviour. | |
