In that same song you're singing about a girl called 'Jennifer'. Is that a girl you guys know or is it just a name you used?
Yeah, it's a girl I used to know. She knows who she is. I don't feel like I need to go into the details of me and Jennifer. I like the lyrics of that song. Its one of the few heartbreak songs we ever did and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. It's pretty easy to ride clichés when writing songs about relationships, especially in this genre of music. |

Like their song Happiness by the Kilowatt, this song comes from a Kurt Vonnegut story. It's called Report on the Barnhouse Effect and is about a guy who mistakenly tells the government about a power he has in which he can affect matter and events through his mind. The government tries to use him as a weapon but he hides on them and uses his power to destroy other weapons associated with war. The story is told by a former student of his who was given Barnhouse's powers before he died. |
