This is one of the best songs on the new albums I cant get enough of it. I love the chorus. I was looking on youtube and there was a video where Shinedown did an acoustic show and Brent said it was for his son. |

I actually did read somewhere like some of you stated its about Brents father, but everyone has their own idea of what it means to them. I personally like it cause I can relate. It makes me think that he has lost his way and needs someone to "shed some light" and help him out, his father his religion his friends, whatever it may be to that person. its seriously an amazing song |

when I hear this song I think of a friend kind of like ggroessel. He had a woman he was so in love with and they broke up it was harder on her then him. She found someone else now is engaged and he would walk a thousand miles to get her back. He hates the song cause its too much but its how he feels... |

I personally love Shinedown and this song. To me its about telling your kid what life is all about and if you follow that you will do ok in life. I love that they dedicate this song every show to their good and missed friend Dimebag Darrell Johnson RIP!! I personally like this version better then the original. Brent Smith seems to sing with a lot of passion with all of his songs. I love it |
