I am going through an Orthodox conversion to Judaism. Unlike most religions, Judaism does not proselytize in the least bit. In fact, they actually dissuade converts. It is nearly impossible to convert to Judaism. What I am going through right now seems to be the meaning of this song to me. If there were no rewards to reap, I certainly would have walked away by now. This tedious path I HAVE CHOSEN here. I (should have?) would have walked away by now. But I simply can not walk away from something I believe so strongly in. I must be patient, wait it out, and the powers that be have my life in their hands, and I must trust in G-d and that fact. |
