should it really though?? i am bigger and i am still undecided on this song and the debate that surround it months after it was released. I like the idea that it is to make big girls feel better about themselves but at the same time it can make me feel uncomfortable when i'm out. I have had it sung to me several times by guys on nights out and one guy even followed me down the street with it playing full blast out his car window and i never quite know if i should take this as a compliment or people winding me up about my size, in the grand scheme of things i'm not as big as a lot of people (size18) but if size doesn't matter could they not just sing another song to me that didn't mention my size???!!! however i don't think mika intended to offend anybody i think it really was just meant to make people feel good such as his friends maybe even a message to guys to say that girls can be pretty regardless of size and as for the gay argument does it really matter???!! |

Could mean anything really its quite open to interpretation i think it could be about a girl who is seeing a guy but its all very secretive maybe even just sexual when they first meet thats why shes his goodnight girl cos they only really see eachother at night and nobody knows and hes not telling anyone. Then he falls for her and gets caught up in her world wanting the love he feels when they are together to be all the time he thinks/hopes she feels it too "reflected in your eyes". could be totally off the mark with this meaning though!! |

Not really a take that fan until i got a copy of their new album and realised some of the songs have real meaning! This song spoke to me cos it summed up perfectly how i was feeling when i first heard it. its about falling for someone quickly kind of like the heart rules the head kind of way and not being sure if this is good or not because you are falling fast and they maybe are not falling at all?? |

I think its about being the sort of person who doesn't let yourself love anyone for fear of hurt or rejection, but at the same time desperately wanting someone to come and make you realise that thats stupid and love can happen even in what seems to be a mixed up sort of place. |
